As of now, it is possible to purchase tickets to visit the brand new Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen. Anyone wishing to tour the world-first accessible art depot located in Rotterdam can now buy a ticket and reserve a time slot.
On Saturday November 6th 2021, the art-filled Depot will permanently open its doors to the public. Tickets can be purchased via: www.boijmans.nl/tickets. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the building designed by MVRDV - including the rooftop that offers a beautiful view of Rotterdam.
The Depot is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. The rooftop is accessible with a Depot ticket before 5. After 5, the rooftop can be entered for free. On the roof visitors can dine at the restaurant and enjoy the panoramic view.
Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen is a collaborative project of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, the City of Rotterdam and the Stichting De Verre Bergen. The depot was designed by MVRDV and constructed by BAM Bouw en Techniek.
The world-renowned art collection of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen has over the span of 170 years expanded to more than 151,000 artefacts, which includes some 63,000 paintings, photos, films, pre-industrial design and design objects, contemporary art installations and sculptures, as well as 88,000 prints and drawings.
